How do I turn in work?
When you turn work in, look for the blue Submit Assignment button. (You can write a note to your teacher too.). After you press submit, you can see the details.
Remember! You cannot delete something after you press Submit. Your teacher might allow you to re-submit work. Some teachers might not allow you to turn in work after the due date. Always talk to your teacher if you have questions.
There can be different ways to turn in (Submit) work.
Google Cloud Assignments
Your teacher might have a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide they want you to work on and turn in. This is called a Google Cloud Assignment. When you open the assignment, Google Drive makes a copy in your Google Drive. Your assignment will open in Canvas or in a new tab. Just look for the blue Submit Assignment to turn it in after you work on it.
Upload a Google File - To turn in a Google Doc, Slide or Sheet you made, click on the Google Doc or Google Drive tab. If you need to turn in another type of file and it is in your Google Drive, go to the Google Drive tab or choose File Upload. If the file is on another computer, choose File Upload.
Microsoft Office Assignments
Your teacher might have a Word Doc, Excel or PowerPoint file they want you to have a copy to work on and turn in. This is called a Cloud Office 365 Assignment. When you open the assignment, Office makes a copy in your OneDrive. Your assignment will open in Canvas or in a new tab. Once again, look for the blue Submit Assignment to turn it in after you work on it.
To complete the assignment, click the Edit Document drop-down menu and select Edit [1].
To open the assignment, click Open in Desktop App [2].
To open the assignment in a separate window, click the Open button [3].
Upload a File - To turn in a Microsoft Office 365 file like a PowerPoint or Word Doc you made, click on the Office 365 tab. If the file is on another computer, choose File Upload.
Text Entry - Teachers may have you type (or copy/paste) into this box to turn in your work. This is also called the Rich Content Editor
