Here's What We're Learning-2

Learning Target: I can identify and use the four types of sentences.   I can identify affixes and use them correctly.  I can identify the elements of a story. I can analysis character traits. 

Monday: 

• Students will take the iReady diagnostic.
• Students will identify and use a variety of affixes. 

Tuesday:

• Students will continue the iReady diagnostic. 
• Students will participate in a Types of Sentences Seek n' Find activity.
• Students will identify and use a variety of affixes. 

Wednesday: 

• Students will be introduced to Dictionary Skills and work in a small group practicing how to use a dictionary.   
• Students will identify and use a variety of affixes. 

Thursday: 

• Students will listen as the teacher reads aloud chp. 1 of Frindle, then students will participate in reading chp. 2.  While reading, students will work on identifying the elements of the story. 
• Students will identify and use the four types of sentences.    
• Students will identify and use a variety of affixes. 

Friday: 

• Working with a partner, students will read chp. 3&4 of Frindle and complete a Venn Diagram. 
• Students will identify and use the four types of sentences.
• Voc. Quiz
