Song Creation Project

Instructions: We have discussed several music genres. The latest genre that we studied was rock. We learned about the notion of a backbeat. Once you have selected a music genre of your choosing, think about the sounds and instruments that are typical for that genre. Create a plan for the song that you will create, thinking about the process that we did for our class song. Use that song as a model. You also have a choice of the platform that you will use to compose your song. The platform we used for our class song is Soundtrap: https://www.soundtrap.com/home/ Links to an external site.

1. If you have not already, create an account so that your work is automatically saved. 

2. Refamiliarize yourself with the icons that we used as a class. 

3. You could choose to use another platform as well.

I know some of you are already familiar with Logic,

FruityLoops, and ProTools. These are fine to use as well.

4. Have fun creating!

Your song must include the following: 

1. Choose a genre for your song.
2. A title for your song
3. 6 tracks:
   1. 4 instrumental tracks:  drums, piano/keyboard, bass, strings
   2. 2 loops
   3. 40 bars of music

Here's an example: 

1. • Intro: 8 bars
   • Chorus: 8 bars
   • Verse: 8 bars
   • Bridge: 8 bars
   • Chorus: 8 bars
