Eighth Grade Curriculum Resources
Welcome to the Eighth Grade Curriculum Resources!
Welcome to the Eighth Grade Resources page! We have developed this page to help you find the Curriculum Maps to show what is being taught in the Richmond County School System Eighth Grade classes. In Eighth Grade, students will apply skills that they learned in previous grades to expand their thinking and to sharpen their ability to write and speak well. They will analyze themes in fiction and nonfiction sources, research and explore the scientific method and analyze proportional relationships, equations, and percentages. They will delve into Georgia Studies and work on creating a clear roadmap for their success even after high school.

Curriculum Maps
A Curriculum Map consists of unit plans (listed towards the top of the table in the gray band) that align with Georgia Standards. The unit plans define the scope and sequence of the content being covered. You will see the Georgia Standards listed as a group of letters and numbers that represent each of the standards for that subject area.
