Physical Education and Health Resources
Welcome to Physical Education and Health Resources!
Physical Education and Health are an important part of the total education of every child in order to help students adopt and maintain healthy behaviors. Quality programs include physical fitness, cognitive understanding, and positive attitudes towards physical activity. The 21st-century student will be a persistent advocate in promoting a healthy lifestyle within their community. Research shows that physically active students do better in school and learn skills that can keep them healthy for their entire lives.
The Richmond County School System offers a variety of courses for our students in every grade level.

Curriculum Maps
A Curriculum Map consists of unit plans (listed towards the top of the table in the gray band) that align with Georgia Standards. The unit plans define the scope and sequence of the content being covered. You will see the Georgia Standards listed as a group of letters and numbers that represent each of the standards for that subject area.
