Parent Teacher Conferences
Please communicate your expectations for parent teacher conferences with your staff. Set aside designated times for conferences. Below you will find the resources for supporting your work.
- Conferences may be held before, after, and during school hours throughout the window.
- Parent conferences may be scheduled on PowerUp Asynchronous Learning Days if needed.
- K-8 teachers are expected to conference with all parents during this conference window; high school teachers should schedule conferences as needed.

- OPTIONAL: Feel free to duplicate this school-based RCSS Fall Conference Statistics Links to an external site. form to gather your school data.
- Teachers will need to print a copy of the i-Ready Families Report to share with each parent during the parent conference. Send home a copy of the report with students for parents that are unable to attend the conference. Per RCBOE IHE-R1, for students in K-8 “a parent conference should be held to discuss strengths and weaknesses and offer suggestions for student improvement. A parent conference shall be scheduled to develop an educational plan for each student experiencing difficulties.” Appendix B Links to an external site. documents are linked for your communication purposes. Additionally, K-8th grade teachers are encouraged to share the iReady BOY diagnostic results with parents at this time. Reminder: The BOY iReady scores are printed on the Report Cards. Teachers in all grades should notify parents of concerns related to student failures following your school’s communication protocol.
