Parent Teacher Conferences

Please communicate your expectations for parent teacher conferences with your staff. Set aside designated times for conferences. Below you will find the resources for supporting your work.


Per RCBOE IHE-R1, for students in K-8 “a parent conference should be held to discuss strengths and weaknesses and offer suggestions for student improvement. A parent conference shall be scheduled to develop an educational plan for each student experiencing difficulties.” Appendix B Links to an external site. documents are linked for your communication purposes. Additionally, K-8th grade teachers are encouraged to share the iReady BOY diagnostic results with parents at this time. Reminder: The BOY iReady scores are printed on the Report Cards. Teachers in all grades should notify parents of concerns related to student failures following your school’s communication protocol.
