Teacher Name:   Ms. Janay Simpkins 

Teacher Biography:  Hello! I am Ms. Janay Simpkins the Marion E. Barnes Career Center Nail Technology Instructor. I have been a licensed Nail Tech for 13 years, and a licensed Nail Tech Instructor for 8 years. I completed the Nail Technology course in my senior year in high school. Then I worked in several different nail salons in SC while attending the Early Care and Education program at Aiken Technical College. I worked in a private beauty college in Aiken for a few years teaching Nail Technology before returning to the salon full-time. I enjoy teaching my skills to anyone passionate about doing nails. I like to do Pedicures, Manicures, and Acrylic Nails in my spare time. I also enjoy reading and relaxing. My Goal for the Marion E. Barnes Career Center Nail Technology program is to create licensed professionals, skilled workers, and knowledgeable young adults who enjoy what they do, and share their skills with the community, and surrounding areas.
