You are a 16 year old who has lived in the United States for all of your life under a Democracy, however, you along with your family are now relocating to Saudi Arabia, an Autocracy because your mother's job has reassigned her there for one year. While there, you discover the people are kind, welcoming, and have a rich welcoming culture, but you also notice that the government operates different from what you are accustomed to in the United States. Besides that, a friend of yours, Abdul, who has lived there all of his life, shares his experiences as a citizen who has lived under an Autocracy all of his life.
Directions
Based on your knowledge of Democracy and your observation of Autocracy as well as conversations you've had with your friend about his life in Saudi Arabia, you will write a short essay of 200-300 words comparing the two types of government. Use your one pager and other resources to assist you with your essay.
