Fundamental Principles of the Constitution
There are six Principles of the US Constitution. These principals are (1) Popular Sovereignty, (2) Limited Government, (3) Federalism, (4) Checks and Balances, (5) Separation of Powers, and (6) Federalism. These principles are important because they create balance between the people and the government, making sure that the government never becomes too powerful.
