I strongly believe people don’t care what you know until they know that you care. So, first and foremost, getting to know students inside the classroom and outside of the classroom is of utmost importance in the educational process. It is when students know that you care that they are willing to open up and learn the knowledge that teachers attempt to impart. I am also a firm believer that all students can learn. Individualized instruction will be used to meet the needs of each student. It is imperative that students learn skills inside of the classroom that are transferrable outside of the classroom. All of the learning that take place in my classroom will be student-centered with a hands-on approach. We live in a technology driven society so each and every opportunity provided, students will learn how to navigate and utilize technology to complete the necessary assignments and assessments. Students will utilize technology to research various topics and concepts while simultaneously learning how to fact check the information they find. My goal is high academic achievement for each and every student. In order for students to be successful, the expectation is that students will participate and be fully engaged in all aspects of the course, ask questions as often as an answer is needed, or clarification is necessary.  Teaching is my passion and I consider myself a life-long learner. I am excited to impart knowledge and skills in each and every student that I get the opportunity to teach and I am looking forward to learning from each of you.
