3rd and 4th Conjugation Imperfects
Students will review the imperfect tense and learn the 3rd and 4th conjugation imperfects. Students will also learn the imperfect of possum, posse - to be able. The goal is for students to recognize and be able to translate these forms in the context of a story. Class will proceed as follows:
Opening - Students will preview Chapter 14 vocabulary
Lesson - Students will take notes on a presentation about the imperfect tense of 3rd and 4th conjugation verbs. Students will then apply their knowledge of imperfects in the translation "Who is to Blame?" page 105 of Ecce Romani I.
Closing - Students will answer true/false questions about the reading.
Opening - Look at vocabulary on page 105 and answer these questions:
