Mottoes and Intro to Chapter 15

Students will share their mottoes with the class in small groups. The goal of this activity is for students to learn some new mottoes and to learn about their classmates philosophy of life. Students will be introduced to Chapter 15 topics, the neuter noun and numbers. We will look at the neuter noun charts and the list of words that are neuter in gender. In class we will recite the numbers 1-10 and discuss the Roman numerals. Our goal is to be introduced to the main topics that we will be studying for the next week. Class will proceed as follows: 

1) Opening - Students will take a preview quiz on mottoes.

2) Lesson - Students will share their mottoes in a small group setting. Students are asked to teach their motto to the group and explain why they chose this particular saying as their motto. Students will then review the declensions in the masculine and feminine and be introduced to the neuter. Then students will be introduced to the numbers 1-10. Numeri Romani I-X.pptx  We will practice saying the numbers and will discuss Roman numerals.

3) Students will be asked to count from 1-10.
