Irregular Verbs Chapter 17

Students have been formally introduced to the irregular verbs sum and possum in the present and imperfect tenses. In today's class we will add the irregulars volo, nolo, fero and eo, all verbs which we have seen but have not studied formally. The objective if for students to be able to use the chart on page 128 to translate irregular verbs in the past tense. Class will proceed as follows:

Opening - Students will translate the irregular verbs below.

Lesson - Students will review the forms of sum and possum on page 108 and then use the chart on page 128 to translate irregular verbs volo, nolo, fero and eo. Irregular Verbs Present and Imperfect.docx

Closing - Students will play a kahoot on irregular verbs. (Vocabulary focus.)

 

Homework: Students will complete handout given in class.

 

Opening - Translate the following irregular verbs from page 108.

3. poteramus

4. estis
